Recovering from disasters is still an ongoing ministry with much need for volunteers in Oklahoma. Many disaster survivors from the spring 2015 and 2016 storms await help you can provide. We need volunteer teams to help roof, insulate, drywall, floor, and paint homes. Contact us today to volunteer!

Jesu, Jesu, fill us with your love,
show us how to serve
the neighbors we have from you.

On June 12, 2016 rains fell, creeks rose and water found its way through the front door without permission. It crested at twelve inches inside the home before it receded. Everything on the ground floor of this two story garage-home conversion was destroyed. The disaster survivor, Mr. Walton, continued to live upstairs with no kitchen in the home. The mold downstairs began and continued to grow. Over the course of the next many months Mr. Walton managed as best he could, cooking only in a microwave and doing dishes in the bathtub. Once processed through Disaster Case Management, Tahlequah UMC volunteered to muck out the home and the NOMADS provided volunteer labor for the next seven weeks to rebuild the ground floor.

Neighbors are rich and poor,
varied in color and race,
neighbors are near and far away.

We are looking for the extravagant generosity of people and organizations across the country to aid in Oklahoma recovery efforts.

  • Average home recovery costs are $1,900 per family
  • Supply needs include Shingles, OSB Subflooring, Drywall, Joint Compound, Joint Tape, Paint, Screws…

You can make a cash donation on our website or you can make a donation of supplies by calling 405-698-8610.

These are the ones we should serve,
these are the ones we should love;
all these are neighbors to us and you.

YOU are a priceless blessing!

Please join us as we help those in need of recovery from a disaster. Our staff makes volunteering as easy as possible. We will find your housing location, provide your work details, and supply the site with materials and tools. Our project managers have experience that can teach you the skills your team needs to be successful.

Volunteer today!

Loving puts us on our knees,
serving as though we are slaves;
this is the way we should live with you.

Kneel at the feet of our friends,
silently washing their feet;
