Oklahoma United Methodist Disaster Response

! COUNT DOWN TO RECOVERY - DON'T STOP NOW !

Only 9 projects remain from the 2015 spring storms and 4 from the 2018 wildfires.  We need your help to reach full recovery!  Call or register your volunteer team online to help disaster survivors that have waited as long as 3 years to see their hope fullfilled by having their home repairs completed.

If you know someone who doesn’t have any clothes or food, you shouldn’t just say,
“I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be warm and have plenty to eat.”
What good is it to say this, unless you do something to help?
Faith that doesn’t lead us to do good deeds is all alone and dead! ~James 2:15-17

Volunteer today!

! KEEP THE HOPE ALIVE - NOW MORE THAN EVER !

Soon after the initial media rush in the disaster response phase the untold story during the long haul of disater recovery begins.
Your consistant and extreme generosity is needed to keep our disaster recovery ministry in place helping families through the years it takes to recover.

"In everything I have shown you that, by working hard, we must help the weak.
In this way we remember the Lord Jesus’ words: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" ~Acts 20:35

Give today!

The interactive map shows locations of homes waiting to be repaired so you can pick a project or pick a location. We encourage you to find a project and register today to help!

What will your Response - Ability be to those in need?

Teams are needed for hanging insulation and drywall, laying flooring, roofing, siding, painting, installing cabinets, livestock fencing…

Anyone interested in volunteering is urged to contact us at 405-802-0904 or email.

Volunteer teams of 3-20 are needed in the following two ways:

Self Sustained Team: If you have experienced team leaders, home repair skilled volunteers… then you can choose your project from our Project List.  We will coordinate with you in purchasing the materials.  Your team would assess the project and make a materials list, deliver materials, supply the tools, and find your own lodging.

Project Managed Team: We will set up your lodging and purchase materials.  One of our project managers will make the materials delivery, provide tools needed and will also be onsite to provide project knowledge.  This option is available only in certain areas of the state.

If you are interested in helping volunteer teams by serving as a Volunteer Site Coordinator who’s role is to visit work sites when volunteer teams are on location to help pick up and deliver materials to the work site, ensure teams have bottled water, and work in coordination with the Project Manager to meet any additional team needs please call 405-802-0904.

If you want to volunteer but don't have a team you are able to serve with please call 405-802-0904 or email to join an existing team.
